Making the Left Coast is the podcast of the Bay Area left. In each episode, host Chuck Morse will interview a leading radical author or activist. He will prompt them to describe their books and projects—what they are and why they are important—and to reflect broadly on the left’s role in the region. Listeners will enjoy great stories, learn about exciting publications and campaigns, and discover insights and strategies that they can apply to their own activism.

The host: Chuck Morse came to the Bay Area in 1985 when he was sixteen-years old in order to work with the local anarchist scene. After leaving and spending many years in New York City, he returned in 2008 and now makes his home in Oakland. He is a translator and writer and also founded the Institute for Anarchist Studies in 1996. An experienced interviewer, he has published interviews with Howard Zinn, Cedric Robinson, Arif Dirlik, and other radical thinkers.
